My Winter with the Midea Hyper Heat.
I stopped looking at this as an "appliance" and started looking at it as an insurance policy against my local utility company. My neighbors were all panicking about "emergency heat" strips kicking in (basically giant, expensive hair dryers in the vents) while I was sitting in a t-shirt during a -10Β°F polar vortex. Youβre getting 95% of the performance of a Zuba or Hyper-Heat system for about 60% of the price. It turned my utility bill from a source of monthly trauma into a "is that all?" moment. If you want to stop burning gas or propane and don't want to freeze your toes off in February, this is the move.
