"For context, I installed this in my 1,200 sq. ft. open-concept living/dining area with vaulted ceilings. This space has always been a nightmare to climate control; my old central air struggled to push enough air to the far corners, and window units were just too loud and ugly for the main living space. I ll be honest, the unit is physically larger than I expected. The indoor head unit is wide, but once it was up on the wall, it actually looked pretty sleek. It doesn't have that cheap, boxy plastic look that some other brands have. My installer mentioned that the line set quality was decent, but he was particularly impressed by the outdoor condenser he said it was surprisingly compact for a 2.5-ton unit. This is the biggest selling point for me. I was terrified that a 30k BTU blower would sound like a jet engine in my living room. I was wrong.
