- Single-zone wall mount — The most popular choice. One outdoor unit paired with one indoor head. Ideal for bedrooms, offices, garages, and room additions. Available in 9K–60K BTU.
- Multi-zone system — One outdoor unit powers 2–6 indoor heads in separate rooms. More efficient than installing multiple single-zone systems. Best for whole-home or multi-room coverage.
- Ceiling cassette — Mounts in a drop ceiling and delivers 360° airflow. Popular in open offices, retail spaces, and large living areas.
- Ducted (slim duct) — Hides completely in the ceiling or wall cavity. Best when you want conditioned air without a visible indoor unit.
- Floor console — Mounts low on a wall, near the floor. Great for rooms with limited wall space or where heat performance matters most (heat rises from floor level).
- What size mini split do I need? A general rule: 12,000 BTU covers approximately 450–550 sq ft; 18,000 BTU covers 700–800 sq ft; 24,000 BTU covers 1,000–1,200 sq ft. Climate, insulation quality, and ceiling height all affect the real-world sizing. Use our sizing guide or call us — we're happy to walk you through it.
- Do mini splits work in cold climates? Yes. Most systems we carry are rated to heat at temperatures as low as -13°F or -22°F (hyper-heat models). Check the low-temperature heating rating in each product's specs.
- Are mini splits Energy Star certified? Many of the systems we carry qualify for federal and local tax credits. Filter by our Energy-Star category and check your system against the AHRI directory before purchasing.
