(write review)DIY 36K BTU
"The biggest reason I chose this unit was the "DIY" aspect. I'm reasonably handy, but I ve always been intimidated by HVAC installation due to refrigerant handling. The MrCool system completely eliminates that barrier. When the unit arrived, the air handler (which replaced my clunky old furnace) was surprisingly compact. The magic, of course, is the pre-charged lineset. I spent a full Saturday pulling out the old equipment. Installing the MrCool was the reward. The Quick-Connect lines are phenomenal; there was no need for a vacuum pump, manifold gauges, or calling in an expensive technician just to release the charge. It truly is a plumber/electrician-level install, not an HVAC tech job. It took me about eight hours, not including the new ductwork adjustments." Duane Long - Tuesday, November 18, 2025
