Once it’s in, it’s basically a ghost.
This unit is engineered to slip between 16-inch floor or ceiling joists. When I lifted it up, it felt like a game of Tetris. It fit, but only because my house is framed straight. It’s the most intimidating DIY project I’ve ever done, but the moment that first blast of cold air hit the room—without a giant white box ruining my wallpaper—it was worth every second of stress.
