"When I decided to put a mini-split in my oversized bonus room (or detached studio), I was really just looking for a way to stop battling the elements. The ComfortStar 24,000 BTU 17 SEER2 unit was the answer. This thing cools down my entire 1,000 square foot space fast. I mean, within minutes, the air is noticeably different. The Inverter Compressor is clearly doing its job, because the temperature stays rock-solid, unlike my old window unit that was either blasting on high or totally off. The other huge win is the sound or lack thereof. It runs so quietly that I sometimes forget it's on.
