| The brand new 5th Generation MRCOOL® DIY® 36k BTU Multi-Zone Ductless Mini-Split Condenser is the right choice if you need immediate, effective comfort that won’t break the bank! This system, which can be installed without the assistance of an HVAC professional, is one of the most efficient and innovative HVAC options on the market. With this condenser, you’ll be able to heat and cool up to 5 different spaces equaling around 1,500 square feet, meaning you can potentially heat and cool an entire home with just one mini-split system! Our DIY® Mini-Splits are able to forgo the evacuation and charging process because our patented Quick Connect® line sets are pre-charged with R-454B refrigerant, a more efficient and eco-friendly refrigerant than R-410A, which we have previously used. These line sets are sold separately. This unit achieves a SEER2 of 23 and an HSPF2-4 of 9.9. These fittings make installation an incredibly safe and simple process, allowing you to save a lot of time and money. There are a variety of features to explore once the system is up and running. One of them is the ability to integrate your system with the SmartHVAC app, allowing you to control your comfort with the touch of a button. "the cooling and heating comfort is genuinely noticeable. On sweltering days, the unit cools my living spaces evenly and quickly, and when I crank up the heat on a chilly evening, it does a solid job of bringing warmth throughout the zones. The multi-zone design is handy rather than running one big central system, I can target exactly where I want comfort (bedrooms, living room, office), and that flexibility really shows. The DIY aspect is a big plus for me. I chose this system partly because I didn t want to hire a contractor or pay for an expensive HVAC install. The included pre-charged lines, quick-connect valves, and clear instructions made the job doable for someone with basic mechanical skills. It feels good to have done it myself and honestly, it was kind of satisfying. Because it's ductless and designed for zone-based distribution, it works best when you re targeting a handful of rooms or a segment of the house not necessarily ideal if you were expecting a whole house central-station vibe. I'm really happy with the Mr. Cool
"I decided to take the plunge and go for the Mr. Cool DIY 5-Zone mini-split. The 'DIY' part was what really caught my eye. I'm reasonably handy, and the idea of saving a ton on installation costs was super appealing. Plus, the 20 SEER rating and the 5-zone capability seemed perfect for my house. Okay, let's be real the DIY part was both rewarding and a bit stressful. Mr. Cool's pre-charged line sets were a huge selling point, and they definitely made things easier. The instructions were pretty clear, and the YouTube videos they provide were invaluable. I spent a good chunk of a weekend getting everything installed. Running the lines through the walls was probably the trickiest part. I had to be careful to avoid electrical wires and pipes. And getting the outdoor unit leveled just right took some patience. The performance is excellent, and the zoning control is a huge plus. The energy efficiency is also a major benefit.
